Documentary Video Production for Bay Area Nonprofits and Public Agencies

I'm Leomar Moring, a documentary filmmaker and video producer based in the Bay Area. For sixteen years I've helped nonprofits, public agencies, and advocacy organizations turn complicated missions into films people actually watch and remember.

Most of my work happens in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose — interviews in community centers and agency offices, field days on location, and post-production built for the platforms where your audience already is.

Common Questions

Before you reach out.

Where in the Bay Area do you shoot?
I'm based in the Bay Area and regularly shoot in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and across Alameda, Contra Costa, and Marin counties, with travel elsewhere in Northern California by arrangement.
What does a nonprofit video cost?
Single-interview and short-form pieces typically start around $3,500, campaign and fundraising films fall between $8,000 and $20,000, and longer documentary projects begin around $20,000. Final pricing depends on shoot days, crew size, locations, and post-production complexity.
Can you work with a grant-funded or board-approved budget?
Yes. Nonprofits and public agencies often work from fixed grant or board-approved budgets, so I scope the production to that number and tell you plainly what it will and won't cover.
Do you handle the whole project or just production?
Either. I take projects from story strategy through final delivery, and I also come in as cinematographer, interview producer, or editor alongside your internal team or agency.
